Bruce Cameron and Cathryn Michon, based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Cameron.
“A Dog’s Way Home” is a compelling dog film that uses man’s best friend to uphold cross-species friendship and has its heart in the right place, pretty much like every canine of every breed. "I finally understood that the invisible leash that led me to Lucas was made of love. He was my person. And I was his dog." One day Bella ends up believing it's that old-fashioned coming home, meaning to her that living with Lucas is her life, so she runs away using a garden slide to get over the fence starting her way to find Lucas. Despite getting trained to come home on her own, Bella ends up being captured by the pound after refusing to leave Lucas all alone against Chuck and his colleagues. Lucas gets her released but learns that if Bella is captured again she will be euthanized so he decides to send her to live with Olivia's aunt and uncle in Farmington for a while until a solution is found. To keep Bella, Lucas has no other choice but to send his beloved dog to a friend’s house for a while.

However, she does not hesitate to fight against the coyotes twice. And her most, most favorite game of all is, “Do you want a little bit of cheese? ” When Lucas plays that game, it makes Bella all warm inside. These are dogs that need good food and a balanced diet. Mixed breed dogs can have a natural and balanced diet made by a veterinary nutritionist, or they can eat industrial foods specific to the animal’s size. W. She realizes that all of them have homes to go to, and thus she, too, has to let go of them and return. After that, she lets go of Big Kitten after being rescued by the two hikers from a group of coyotes. Later on, she has to let go of Dutch’s companionship and the care she received in one of the hikers’ houses. PETA is also working to ensure that—should this book be turned into a movie—no animals will be used or mistreated for it (as they were for the movie version of Cameron’s other book, A Dog’s Purpose). At the end of the day, Bella watches as the dogs go back home to their owners.
This story starts out with Bella as a puppy living under an old shack with her family in Denver, Colorado. She finds her way into the arms of Lucas, a young man who adopts her. When Bella becomes separated from Lucas after she was impounded by the animal control due to Denver's pitbull ban, she soon finds herself on a 400-mile journey to reunite with her owner. Along the way, the dog meets an orphaned mountain lion, a veteran and some friendly strangers who happen to cross her path.

The three men give Bella food at their campsite and upon learning who her owner is, try to call Lucas, only to be scared away by the sudden arrival of Big Kitten. During the winter, Bella helps rescue a man buried in an avalanche. Eventually, she reaches a small town, where she is taken in by a homeless veteran named Axel until he soon dies. Back in the wilderness, Bella is attacked by coyotes again, but Big Kitten, now fully grown, returns and intervenes, successfully fighting off the coyotes.
Bella's Story is just another shining example of how to paint a picture, and craft a story that simply captures your heart. Bella's youthful enthusiasm, and unwavering determination, are put masterfully on display by the author. But, she never gets too far ahead of you, and will stop and turn, to make sure you are right there behind her every step of the way, as she takes you on her journey "home".

Every book he writes makes me smile and tear up, often at the same time. It's a touching story of survival, family, and love. Bella is taken in by Axel, who is a homeless vet. Despite being a vet, his behavior is strikingly odd. He keeps Bella on a leash and even chains her to prevent her from leaving his side. The fact that Axel passes away, leaving Bella chained to his lifeless body, seems to portray how such a kind of oppression can take its toll even after the person passes away.
Bruce Cameron’s Puppy Tales series is that he writes these books for children with great respect. He takes the best part of his adult novels about dogs and tells the stories with heart in a way that’s suitable for younger readers. My daughter and I have read all of the Puppy Tales series and loved each book. Bella’s Story, based on A Dog’s Way Home, has the same soul as the previous books and all the cheer-worthy content. Another super sweet and entertaining story from a precocious pup’s perspective. This is a junior version of Bruce Cameron’s “A Dog’s Way Home”.
The homeless eventually died, leaving Bella unable to eat or drink because of Axel's heavy body hanging on the chain. Bella is fortunately rescued by two kids who pull the chain from her neck before she dies of thirst. Bella lives with the two humans for a while, even becoming close to Dutch, but Lucas still misses her.
Lucas pays the fine and picks Bella up, but she is told that if she is captured again, she will be euthanized. Lucas thus decides to send Bella away to Farmington, New Mexico, at Olivia’s aunt’s place. She shall remain there until Lucas, and his mom are able to find a new home outside Denver’s jurisdiction. What follows is an arduous 2-year journey for Bella to get back to Lucas, one during which she touches the lives of a baby cougar and a homeless vet, as well as saves the life of a man and makes new friends.
